On Crowthorne sign post opposite the Baconslicer shop in Yateley 3 miles west of Camberley Central.
On a bollard on the island where the Sandhurst road joins the A3272 at Yateley.
The original central concrete street light and sign post have gone but the junction is much the same as it was.
To the west the car mechanics garage has become a car dealership. About 18 years ago it took over the old Baconslicer shop. Further west a small row of local shops has been built but to the south of the junction The Royal Oak pub keeps a frontage that is much as it was 100 years ago.
The big landscape change since I was a boy here, is to the north. The Blackwater River is now a string of lakes landscaped and wooded and run as the Trilakes Country Park. This has been created by extensive gravel extraction to satisfy the demands for building the new M3 road. Traffic has increased enormously.
